what we do

The Trans Death Care Fund provides financial and community support for trans people and their loved ones to access dignified, affirming, and compassionate end-of-life care.

We envision a world where every trans person receives respectful, affirming care through every stage of life — including death. Our fund ensures that financial barriers, family rejection, and systemic inequities never stand in the way of a dignified end-of-life experience.

how it works

Once we’re off the ground and running, we’ll have an application form available here on the site. Our goal is to serve as many trans people in their end of life care as possible with both breadth and equity in mind.

who we serve

The Fund is here for transgender people and for anyone caring for a trans person at the end of life. Everyone who needs this kind of support is welcome to apply. Because some people face more barriers than others, we give priority to those who are dealing with greater hardship or marginalization.

who we are

Currently, the Trans Death Care Collective is made up of seven team members: our Executive Director Sage Agee and six Board Members. We hope to soon have a network of volunteers, advocates, caregivers, providers, and others as part of our team as well.

get involved

The Fund exists because our community shows up for each other, and there are so many ways to be part of that care. Whether you want to volunteer, offer professional skills, help with events, donate, or just learn more about how you can support trans people at the end of life, we’d love to hear from you.

You don’t need any special experience - just a commitment to dignity, compassion, and showing up for trans people and our chosen families. By getting involved, you help make sure our community has access to affirming care, respectful remembrance, and real support when it matters most.

If you’re interested in being part of this work, fill out the form and let us know how you’d like to plug in. This is collective care in action, and there’s a place for you here.
